Delivering Excellence in Aged Care Dining

Location: Boronia, VIC (non-CBD location)
Award: Hospitality Award - Level 6
Contract: 8-month fixed-term contract (July 2026 - March 2027)
Employment Type: Part-time | 38 hours per week (including breaks)
Roster: Sunday to Thursday | 7:00am - 3:00pm

We are seeking a qualified Chef to join our aged care facility in Boronia on an 8-month contract. This is a hands-on role within a large, well-established home featuring nine residential wings, a supportive kitchen team, and a warm and welcoming community of residents.

The workplace is structured and collaborative, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality food that supports resident health and wellbeing. This role also offers strong opportunities for future employment and career progression within the organisation.

You will play a key role in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals in a caring and professional aged care environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for residents and staff
- Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations
- Deliver friendly, efficient service in a residential care setting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen
- Follow food safety and workplace health standards
- Prepare texture-modified meals with care and precision

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) with experience in a similar chef role
- Aged care experience is essential
- Strong ability to prepare and deliver high-quality meals in a care-focused environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team
- Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail in a busy kitchen setting
- Must hold valid Australian working rights (no sponsorship available for this site)
