Responsible for completing high quality maintenance activitiesfor parks, reserves and streetscapes within the City, you will needto be able to make informed technical and operational decisions andprovide support, leadership and advice to staff members andapprentices as required.
We can offer you variety with duties that include developing andmaintaining work programs, preparing maintenance schedules,landscaping, garden refurbishment, pruning, litter removal,fertilising, mowing, mulching and general garden/turfmaintenance.
You will be required to work to daily maintenance schedules andsafely operate of a variety of horticultural equipment.
To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment or able to work alone under direction
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in accordance with WHS and industry obligations
- Experience in the maintenance and safe operation of various parks and gardens related plant and equipment
- Current 'C' class driver's licence
- WHS General Induction for Construction (White Card)
This position offers a weekly wage of $1,431 (gross) which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates, as well as:
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
