Position: Senior Project Manager – Technology Delivery

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering end-to-end technology projects across both Government and Private Sector organizations. The ideal candidate will have successfully managed complex IT transformation initiatives within Banking, Insurance, and Government environments, leading multidisciplinary teams from project initiation through to successful delivery.

This role requires strong stakeholder management, governance, vendor management, and delivery expertise across enterprise technology programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects from business case, planning, execution, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and resources.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, governance reports, and executive dashboards.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Lead Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project delivery methodologies depending on project requirements.
- Manage cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, Testers, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Vendors.
- Ensure projects comply with organizational governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive project governance through steering committees and executive reporting.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and change requests.
- Support procurement, contract management, and vendor engagement where required.
- Ensure successful project transition into business-as-usual operations.

Essential Skills & Experience





- 10+ years of Project Management experience delivering enterprise technology projects.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end technology implementations.
- Demonstrated experience across both Government and Private Sector organizations.
- Strong domain experience within Banking and Insurance industries.
- Experience managing infrastructure, cloud, digital transformation, application delivery, data, or cyber security projects.
- Strong knowledge of project governance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, vendors, and distributed delivery teams.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Technical Environment Experience delivering projects involving one or more of the following:

- Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Infrastructure & Networks
- Enterprise Applications
- Digital Transformation
- Cyber Security
- Data & Analytics
- API & Systems Integration
- DevOps & CI/CD
- CRM (Salesforce, Dynamics)
- ERP Platforms

Preferred Qualifications

- PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent Project Management certification.
- Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, Agile PM) highly regarded.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.

Desirable Experience

- Experience delivering projects within Australian Federal or State Government.
- Knowledge of government procurement and governance frameworks.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance.
- Solid vendor and commercial management experience.
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
