Purpose of the role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior IT Systems & Security Administrator to ensure Zembl’s technology environment remains reliable, secure and ready to scale.

You’ll take ownership of systems administration, network infrastructure, security and compliance, while overseeing the delivery of day-to-day technical support through our managed service partner.

This is a broad, hands-on role where you’ll be equally comfortable resolving a technical issue yourself, directing an external partner or working on longer-term security and systems improvements.

What you’ll do

- Oversee first, second and third-level IT support, working closely with our managed service partner to ensure incidents and requests are resolved effectively.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including access, devices and supporting documentation.
- Administer and continuously improve Microsoft 365, identity controls, device management and security policies.
- Maintain network infrastructure, firewalls, access controls and vulnerability management.
- Manage Zembl’s remaining AWS environment, including S3 storage, security, access and monitoring.
- Lead the safe decommissioning of legacy AWS services while meeting data retention requirements.
- Administer Zembl’s SaaS applications, including configuration, licensing, integrations, access and vendor management.
- Manage SSO configuration, identity management and application integrations.
- Administer Vanta, including control monitoring, evidence collection and remediation tracking.
- Support Zembl’s ISO 27001 and SOC 2 journey through gap analysis,



control implementation, policy management and audit preparation.
- Maintain accurate systems documentation, procedures and asset registers.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, security and the overall employee technology experience.

What you’ll bring

- At least five years’ experience across systems and network administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, identity management, device management and security policies.
- Practical governance, risk and compliance experience, ideally including Vanta or another compliance automation platform.
- Experience supporting ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification or audit-readiness programs.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, firewalls, access controls and security risk management.
- Experience administering AWS environments, including S3 storage and legacy service decommissioning.
- Experience managing a portfolio of SaaS applications, integrations, licensing and vendors.
- Hands-on experience configuring SSO and application integrations.
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of end-user devices, from deployment and asset tracking through to secure disposal.
- The ability to manage external technology partners while remaining willing and capable of stepping in directly when needed.
- A proactive, organised and service-focused approach, with robust attention to detail.
