You will provide operational services support to the Georgetown Primary Health Centre under the supervision of the Director of Nursing whilst assisting in the achievement of service goals in accordance with Queensland Health, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and clinic directions.

The Operational Services Officer – Georgetown Primary Health Centre works collaboratively with and under the direction of the Director of Nursing Georgetown Primary Health Centre to provide effective and efficient operational services including cleaning, grounds maintenance, administrative support and wards person (porterage) services while at all times adhering to organisational standards, policies, and procedures. The role is also required to participate in the on-call roster to assist as an after-hours driver using the Hospital Based Ambulance during emergency retrievals within the local community.

About your prospect:
In this position you will….
- Maintain your work area in a clean and safe condition.
Clean and store equipment or utensils used in a work area in an appropriate manner.
- Collect and dispose of refuse at regular intervals throughout the day to keep all area tidy and rubbish free.
- Operate a range of existing and new basic tools, equipment and machinery on which training has been provided, and not performed by other specific trade occupations.
- Contribute to organisational goals as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide quality patient care under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing as an integral member of the health centre team
- Participate in on call roster for afterhours emergencies including driving the ambulance and assisting the Director of Nursing in the care of the clients. Plan and provide an up to date roster for the volunteer weekend ambulance drivers.
