A leading Queensland coal mining operation producing high-quality thermal coal for domestic and international energy markets. The site operates large-scale open-cut mining activities and is supported by a robust focus on safety, operational excellence, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement. With a substantial workforce of mining, maintenance, and technical professionals, the operation plays a significant role in the regional economy while maintaining effective and sustainable coal production.
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced HR officer for a short term role near Blackwater. In this role you will work on a Monday to Friday roster and finish earlier on the Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Providing timely HR advice and support to leaders and employees across the employee lifecycle.
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and workforce administration activities.
Responding to HR queries and providing guidance aligned with company policies and employment legislation.
Supporting the management of employee relations matters including performance, conduct, and workplace concerns.
Coaching frontline leaders on people management practices and HR processes.
Maintaining accurate HR records and documentation within SuccessFactors.
Preparing HR communications, reports and documentation as required.
Supporting HR initiatives including EBA implementation,
remuneration framework work, and workforce planning activities.
Contributing to HR projects and site initiatives that support culture, engagement, and operational effectiveness.
Working closely with the HR Manager to ensure consistent and effective HR support across the site.
Skills And Experience
Strong administrative and organisational skills
High attention to detail and org
Ability to prioritise and work through a high volume of tasks
Recruitment, HR Officer, or HR admin experience is ideal
Proficient experience with Microsoft office and SuccessFactors software
