You'll be mentored by our accredited Traffic Management Designer, gaining practical experience and developing the skills required to become a fully competent Traffic Management Designer.

About the Role
Imagine no longer working long hours on the roadside or being exposed to the elements every day.
This is your opportunity to build a professional career using the industry knowledge you've already gained.
Working closely with our Design team, you'll progressively build your knowledge of traffic management planning,
assist with live projects and develop the technical skills required to prepare compliant traffic management documentation.
As your skills develop, you'll progressively take ownership of projects and work towards preparing compliant Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and associated documentation.
Our goal is to develop you into a competent Traffic Management Designer over the next 12-24 months through structured mentoring, practical experience and formal development.
- Liaise with clients, councils and road authorities.
- Prepare project documentation and work packs.
- Support operational teams and project delivery.
- Develop expertise in Queensland traffic legislation and design standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who has practical experience working within the traffic management industry and wants to build a long-term career.
Essential
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency status essential (We are not providing sponsorship for this position).
- Previous experience working in the traffic management industry.
- Current Queensland Traffic Control qualifications.
- Good understanding of traffic control operations and on-road work practices.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to read plans and follow procedures.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Highly Regarded
- Experience as a Traffic Management Implementer, Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Exposure to Traffic Guidance Schemes or Traffic Management Plans.
- Experience liaising with clients or supervising crews.
- Desire to work towards Traffic Management Designer accreditation.
