An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to join a high-performing technology team delivering large-scale cloud transformation, AI innovation, and enterprise technology initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work on strategic programs that leverage modern cloud platforms, automation, governance frameworks and emerging technologies to deliver secure, scalable and future-ready solutions.
The Opportunity
As the Azure Cloud Architect, you will provide technical leadership across cloud architecture, design, governance and implementation. You will work closely with engineering, security, DevOps and business stakeholders to architect and deliver innovative Azure-based solutions that enable organisational transformation and drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design secure, scalable and resilient Azure cloud architectures supporting enterprise and AI initiatives
- Establish and maintain Azure landing zones, governance frameworks, architecture standards and cloud adoption models
- Lead solution architecture activities and provide expert technical guidance across multiple projects
- Collaborate with security, engineering and DevOps teams to ensure solutions are aligned with business and technical requirements
- Design and oversee implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation and CI/CD practices
- Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Azure
- Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to technology strategy and cloud roadmaps
- Produce and maintain high-quality solution documentation, architecture artefacts, governance records and operational documentation
- Design and configure system workflows,
including Entra-based workflows and integrations with enterprise service management platforms
- Engage with a broad range of stakeholders, providing technical leadership and influencing key technology decisions
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing and delivering solutions across Microsoft Azure, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments
- Solid expertise in Azure security, identity and governance frameworks
- Demonstrated experience leading complex cloud architecture and deployment programs
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps methodologies
- Deep understanding of Azure identity and access management, RBAC and Zero Trust security principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Desirable Experience
- AKS/Kubernetes and containerisation technologies
- Azure AI Landing Zone design and implementation, including Azure AI Foundry and related services
