About Office of Multicultural InterestsThe Office of Multicultural Interests works to achieve the full potential of multiculturalism in Western Australia. This requires strategies that encompass the whole community, including business and industry groups, government and non-government agencies, culturally diverse communities and the wider community. It works with these communities to support and promote equity and accessibility.
About the roleAre you a strategic leader committed to shaping an inclusive and cohesive society?
We are seeking an exceptional executive leader to head the Office of Multicultural Interests (OMI) and drive the Government’s vision for a more inclusive, equitable and connected Western Australia.
In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership across multicultural policy, programs and partnerships, ensuring cultural diversity is recognised and leveraged as a key driver of social, economic and civic prosperity. You will play a critical system stewardship role, influence whole-of-government priorities and strengthen outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
As a member of the Department’s Extended Leadership Team, you will provide high-level advice to the Executive Leadership team (ELT) and other senior leaders on multicultural affairs, policy direction and emerging issues. You will represent the Department at the highest levels, building strong partnerships across government, community and industry!
You’ll bring:Executive leadership experience in complex policy, strategy or service delivery environments.A demonstrated ability to influence government, industry and community stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.Strategic thinking, sound judgement and the ability to lead organisational performance and reform.

LocationThis role is based at 140 William Street, Perth.
