You will be welding HDPE, stringing pipe, loading welding machines, flushing and hydrotesting and digging trenches. Welding a range of pipe diameter ranging from DN63 – DN900. other duties include;
- Operating plant and equipment as required, including excavators, skid steers and IT loaders.
- Assisting with lifting operations and dogging duties where required.
- Using chainsaws and other hand tools in accordance with site procedures
- Completing pre-start inspections, equipment maintenance checks and basic housekeeping.
- Working safely in accordance with Rio Tinto, FMG and BHP site procedures and safety standards.
- Collaborating with supervisors and crew members to deliver pipeline installation projects safely and efficiently.
- Operating tickets - Excavator, Skidsteer, chainsaw, dogman and IT loader
- Previous experience operating McElroy and Dixon polywelding machines
- Current RTIO, FMG and BHP Inductions (beneficial)
Essential
• Must have a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience as Polywelder
• Experience using a variety of Polywelding equipment and procedures specifically (McElroy -T618, T500, T900
and Dixon welder)
• Essential tickets:
o Current Manual WA HR Class Drivers Licence
o White/Blue Card Construction
