About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Commercial Engagement Manager to help shape the future of ICN NT's commercial consulting and advisory services.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you'll identify and convert new commercial opportunities, develop strategic client relationships and lead consulting engagements from proposal development through to successful project delivery.
Working with government agencies, major project proponents and industry, you'll deliver consulting projects, strategic studies and advisory services across the Northern Territory's key economic sectors, including defence, resources, energy and infrastructure.
This role combines commercial acumen, consulting, project leadership and strategic thinking to deliver practical, evidence-based solutions that create lasting value for clients while contributing to ICN NT's long-term commercial sustainability.
You'll also play a key role in shaping the future of ICN NT's commercial service offering and provide leadership and direction to our Industry Engagement function.
What you'll doIdentify, qualify and pursue new commercial consulting opportunities.Develop strategic relationships with government, industry and major project proponents.Prepare proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates and commercial agreements.Lead consulting, advisory and research projects from initiation through to successful delivery.Deliver industry capability studies, supply chain mapping and strategic advisory assignments.Manage project budgets,



commercial performance and client expectations.Develop new consulting and advisory services that respond to emerging client and market needs.Provide leadership and direction to ICN NT's Industry Engagement function.
What you'll bringYou'll be a commercially minded professional with strong consulting, relationship management and project delivery experience.You'll ideally have:Demonstrated experience in consulting, commercial, advisory or project management roles.Experience identifying, pursuing and converting commercial opportunities.Exceptional written communication and report writing skills.Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.Experience in preparing proposals and managing client relationships.The confidence to engage with senior executives across government and industry.Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent skilled experience.
Highly regardedYou'll stand out if you have experience:Delivering consulting or advisory projects from opportunity identification through to completion.Working with government agencies or major project proponents.Developing evidence-based recommendations for senior decision-makers.Building long-term client relationships that generate repeat business.Identifying emerging market opportunities and developing new service offerings.
