Due to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government TSPV clearance is essential.

These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).

ABOUT THIS ROLE
This role is for a Contract Manager.
Candidates must hold current TSPV security clearance.
Project Managers plan and manage the delivery of projects.

Candidates must be willing to undergo ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA).
The OSA requires a psychological assessment, which involves a questionnaire and an interview.

Initial contract duration: 12 months

Extension term: 12 months

Working arrangements: On Site
Working arrangements will be at the discretion of the assigned work area, subject to operational need. Due to the nature of ASD's operations, not all work areas can accommodate work from home.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in high value, complex procurement and contract activities that strengthen ASD Protective Security
- Engage, negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders; respond to complex to very complex enquiries relating to procurement and take the initiative to identify alternative courses of action to ensure resolution where required.




- Use experience to deliver procurement related documentation including tender documentation, schedule, correspondence, reports, submissions, plans and strategies, risk and performance reviews, contract change proposals and other documentation as required.
- Translate and apply legal principles, legislative and policy compliance obligations, and commercial risk and performance requirements related to procurement and contract management.
- Assist in financial management, including purchase order processing, forecasting and tracking of project expenditure.
- Take the initiative to identify impacts of changes to relevant Commonwealth procurement policies and recommend potential improvements to procurement practices.
- Monitor and manage contract administration, performance and risks against the contract and contribute to appropriate action.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

- Stakeholder relationship management - level 5: Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Translates communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables. Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders. Acts as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans. Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding. Facilitates business decision-making processes. Captures and disseminates technical and business information.
- Minimum of 5 year's experience in contract management.
- Degree in business or other procurement related field
