Your Role

Senior Associate or Associate in the TMT practice, based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, specializing in cyber, data and AI law.

Responsibilities

- Advising clients on cyber preparedness and incident response.
- Managing complex data matters (privacy, spam, surveillance) and related transactions.
- Designing and implementing data and AI governance frameworks.
- Conducting regulatory investigations and advising on enforcement action.
- Collaborating with other practice groups to support cross‑functional client needs.
- Delivering executive‑level advice to boards and senior management.

Qualifications

- Experience advising on cyber preparedness and incident response.
- Hands‑on experience with complex data, privacy, spam and surveillance issues.
- Experience in regulatory investigations or enforcement matters.
- Knowledge of AI governance and transactions is desirable.
- Robust technical background and academic credentials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships.
- Track record managing multiple, large matters and leading teams.
