Facilitator – Early Childhood Education and Care. Employment Type: Casual. Southern Cross Education Institute (SCEI) and Southern Cross Education Institute – Higher Education (SCEI-HE) have been delivering nationally recognised vocational and tertiary qualifications across Australia for many years, supporting both local and international students to become job-ready graduates.

With campuses in Victoria and South Australia, SCEI delivers programs across key sectors including Community Services, Early Childhood, Nursing, Aged Care, Pathology and related health and education areas. Our focus is on providing practical, industry-relevant education and strong student support.

We are currently seeking an energetic, proactive and student-focused Early Childhood Education and Care Facilitator to join our team at our Adelaide campus .

This role would suit someone with strong current industry experience in early childhood education and care who is passionate about supporting adult learners and helping students develop practical, job-ready skills for the early childhood sector.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing for and facilitating high-quality learning sessions in accordance with relevant training standards and course requirements
- Supporting both practical and theoretical learning activities in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Assisting students to understand key early childhood practices, frameworks, regulations and workplace expectations
- Providing students with timely feedback, guidance and support
- Supporting student engagement, participation and progression throughout their course
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records, where required
- Liaising with trainers,



assessors and administration teams to ensure student records and learning support needs are managed effectively
- Participating in professional development to maintain industry currency
- Supporting compliance with RTO standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

- Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or a related discipline
- Current or recent industry experience in the early childhood education and care sector
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education practices, child safety, compliance requirements and workplace expectations
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or current equivalent credential accepted under VET requirements, is highly regarded
- Applicants working towards the required training and assessment credential may also be considered, subject to appropriate supervision arrangements
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural learning setting
- Ability to engage students and draw on industry experience to create a rich learning experience
- Demonstrated capacity to motivate, coach and support students throughout their course
- Proactive, positive and professional approach to supporting adult learners
