Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer

Seeking a Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer to lead and optimise enterprise storage and SAN environments within a large-scale ICT setting supporting critical data platforms and infrastructure. This is a full-time contract role offering an opportunity to work in a complex technical environment.

Role Overview

- Demonstrated expertise in managing storage systems, SAN technologies, data platforms, and producing technical documentation.
- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $110 to $130.
- Location: Canberra metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement, configure, and optimise enterprise storage solutions across both physical and virtual infrastructures.
- Administer and support Storage Area Network switches, with a focus on established SAN switch hardware and Fibre Channel storage systems.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation covering design, implementation, operational procedures, and transition documentation.
- Collaborate closely with the ICT infrastructure team, support junior staff through mentorship, and communicate technical details effectively to stakeholders.
- Provide after-hours support for system updates and maintenance; occasional on-call duties expected but not compulsory.
