We’re partnering with an established international financial services organisation to recruit a Senior Systems & Project Engineer into its growing technology team.
The business is expanding across multiple markets, creating a strong pipeline of infrastructure, security and migration projects. This is a broad, hands on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing project delivery with ownership of a Microsoft cloud environment.
Due to the regulated nature of the business, previous experience within insurance or broader financial services is highly important. The successful candidate will understand the security, compliance and operational requirements associated with working in a regulated environment.
The role
Working closely with the technology leadership team, you’ll help manage and improve the organisation’s infrastructure while delivering a varied portfolio of technical projects.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and Microsoft 365 environments
- Administering endpoints through Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot
- Delivering infrastructure, cloud and business migration projects
- Supporting security audits, disaster recovery testing and compliance initiatives
- Acting as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
- Managing application deployment, patching and device compliance
- Monitoring system performance, availability and infrastructure costs
- Providing occasional end-user support where required
About you
- Five or more years’ experience in systems or infrastructure engineering
- Strong experience across Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Intune
- Previous experience within insurance or financial services
- A strong understanding of security, compliance and risk within a regulated workplace
- Experience delivering infrastructure or cloud migration projects
- The ability to balance project delivery with operational responsibilities
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills
- PowerShell scripting capability would be highly regarded
