Senior Control Systems Engineer - Leading Engineering Solutions Company

Seeking deep Allen‑Bradley skills coupled with heavy industry experience.

We are representing a well‑respected engineering specialist business seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to play a key technical role in complex international control systems projects.

This is a senior‑level opportunity for an experienced engineer who is confident working autonomously, enjoys technical challenges in high‑pressure and ambiguous environments, and is genuinely willing to travel overseas for extended periods during Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), commissioning, and critical project phases.

What You Will Do

- Deliver expert design, configuration, integration, and commissioning of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems on international projects.
- Provide strong technical input and support during client meetings, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), site commissioning, and handover.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with a solutions‑focused approach while maintaining excellent client and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with project teams and contribute to the development of junior engineers through knowledge sharing.
- Combine hands‑on engineering expertise with project delivery responsibilities to achieve successful outcomes.
- Ensure all work meets client standards, governance requirements, and supports long‑term operational success.

About You

- Extensive hands‑on experience with industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA) – Rockwell/Allen Bradley skills are mandatory.




- Proven track record in FATs, commissioning, and site delivery, ideally on international or remote projects.
- Strong technical problem‑solving skills with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.
- Experience in mining, energy, or heavy industrial projects is highly regarded.
- A skilled service mindset – focused on delivering practical, long‑term value to clients and operators.
- Comfortable contributing to project execution and working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Australian working rights and a genuine willingness to travel internationally.
- RPEQ, CPEng, or strong willingness to pursue registration.
