The Senior Credit Analyst plays a key role in supporting the growth and execution of residential, commercial, trust, and SMSF loan strategies at Tasman Finance Partners.

This role is solely focused on the Australian lending market, working across residential and commercial deals for clients based in or investing in Australia.

This position is responsible for ensuring clean credit submissions, proactive client communication, and close collaboration across processing and admin teams. maintaining the speed-to-approval and client experience standard that Tasman Finance Partners is known for.

As the business continues to grow, there is a natural pathway for the right person to expand into New Zealand lending markets, supporting our trans-Tasman clients and contributing to Tasman Finance Partners' broader cross-border capability.

Key Responsibilities

- Engage with clients to understand structure, income, documentation, and finance strategy needs within the Australian lending market
- Assess financials including tax returns, BAS, company, trust, and SMSF structures for serviceability and suitability under relevant lender policy
- Build lender strategy and align deals with policy across Australian residential and commercial lenders
- Run valuations, price requests, product comparisons, and prepare funding tables
- Create and deliver clean credit submissions for processing team handover
- Manage lender credit questions and handle documentation rework with speed and accuracy
- Liaise with BDMs and clients to resolve structuring or policy issues during application stages
- Maintain internal checklists, CRM records, and submission templates for efficiency and accuracy
- Contribute to Tasman Finance Partners' growing trans‑TASMAN capability,



with the opportunity to develop expertise in Recent Zealand lending markets as the business expands

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy of credit submissions and supporting documents
- One-touch approval rate and minimal lender rework
- Turnaround time from strategy confirmation to submission
- Client satisfaction and positive feedback (supporting a 5-star client experience)
- Collaboration and communication across internal teams
- Contribution to continuous improvement of credit processes and templates
- Currency with Australian lender policy, with willingness to develop knowledge of the New Zealand market over time

Experience and Qualifications

- Proven proficiency working with self-employed business owners and complex structures including companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSF
- Must have experience and proficiency with Connective Mercury CRM
- Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with clients across all walks of life, from high-net-worth investors through to first home buyers
- Experience with non-bank lending and development finance, including construction facilities, low-doc, and non-bank credit criteria
- Minimum 5 years' experience in self employed lending, residential, commercial, trust/SMSF lending
- Strong financial analysis capability with exposure to complex lending structures
- Prior experience as a credit analyst at a brokerage, assessor, or para-broker (preferred)
- Familiarity with both Australian and New Zealand lender panels and regulatory frameworks (advantageous but not required - NZ knowledge can be developed in role)
- Cert in Mortgage Broking or equivalent (desirable)
- Clear understanding of major Australian bank and non-bank lender policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes
