About the role

ROWJACK Commercial Cleaning is seeking a dedicated Cleaner for Educational Facilities to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is based in Beldon WA 6027 and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to maintaining clean, hygienic and safe learning environments for students and staff. As a Cleaner for Educational Facilities, you will play a vital role in ensuring that schools and educational institutions maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, which directly impacts the wellbeing and productivity of the entire educational community.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing daily cleaning and sanitisation of classrooms, corridors, bathrooms and common areas within educational facilities

2. Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols

3. Using appropriate cleaning products and techniques to remove dirt, stains and contaminants from various surfaces including floors, walls, windows and furniture

4. Emptying and replacing waste bins and disposing of rubbish in designated areas

5. Performing routine maintenance tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting and polishing

6. Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms and kitchen areas to maintain hygiene standards

7. Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or hazards to management immediately

8. Adhering to health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

9. Following environmentally responsible cleaning practices where possible

10. Being flexible with cleaning schedules to accommodate educational facility operating hours

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience working as a cleaner, ideally in an educational, commercial or hospitality environment

2. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

4. Physical fitness and capability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift moderately heavy items

5. Reliability and punctuality,



with the ability to work part-time hours consistently

6. Knowledge of safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment

7. Good communication skills and a professional attitude

8. A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) is highly desirable when working in educational facilities

9. Flexibility to work during school hours and potentially during school holidays

10. Basic numeracy skills for measuring cleaning products appropriately
