Adelaide

Social Media & Content Coordinator

Full-time | Kent Town, Adelaide

If you’re the person who notices why a Reel works, saves content ideas for later and can spot when a brand is trying too hard, we’d like to meet you.

East End Marketing is one of Adelaide’s largest independent, full-service marketing agencies. For more than 40 years, we’ve helped local and national businesses grow through creative, media, digital, web and social campaigns.

We combine big-agency capability with the flexibility and personality of an independent agency. We’re now looking for a creative, curious and organised Social Media & Content Coordinator to join our Kent Town team.

The role

This is a hands-on role creating social media content for a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries.

You’ll help develop content ideas, write captions, design social tiles, edit short-form videos, coordinate influencers and prepare content for both organic and paid social campaigns.

You’ll work closely with our Adelaide-based account management and creative teams, as well as our digital analysts in Sri Lanka, to turn client objectives and performance insights into content that gets attention and delivers results.

No two days will look exactly the same. You might spend one morning planning a monthly content calendar, the afternoon editing a Reel in CapCut and the next day coordinating an influencer, attending a content shoot or developing ad concepts for a new campaign.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone beginning their marketing career or looking to turn their natural interest in social media and content creation into a full time agency role.

You don’t need to arrive knowing everything. You do need to be curious, dependable, receptive to feedback and willing to have a go.

What you’ll do

- Develop social media ideas and content plans for a range of client brands.

- Write engaging captions and adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms.

- Design social media tiles and paid advertising creative using Figma, Adobe XD or similar tools.

- Create and edit short-form videos using CapCut or similar editing software.

- Help plan and coordinate content shoots.

- Identify, contact and liaise with influencers and content creators.

- Prepare, schedule and publish organic social media content.

- Create different versions of social creative for paid advertising campaigns.

- Work with our digital analysts to understand campaign performance and improve future content.

- Collaborate with account managers, designers, developers and other specialists to deliver work on time and on brief.

- Use AI and large language model tools to help generate ideas, develop and refine copy, research trends and improve content workflows.

- Keep up with changing platforms, formats, trends and online culture.

- Assist with other creative and marketing projects when required.

What you’ll bring

Previous agency or marketing experience would be helpful, but it is not essential. We’re more interested in your attitude, ideas and willingness to learn. You’ll ideally have:

- A genuine interest in social media, content creation and digital marketing.

- A good eye for what makes content visually appealing and appropriate for a brand.

- Creative ideas and the confidence to contribute them.

- Strong written communication and an ability to adapt your tone of voice.

- An interest in using AI tools and effective prompting to support content creation, along with the judgement to fact-check, refine and adapt the output for different brands.

- An understanding of platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.

- Some familiarity with CapCut, Figma, Adobe XD, Canva or similar creative tools.

- Strong organisation and attention to detail.

- The ability to manage several tasks, clients and deadlines at once.

- A proactive attitude and a willingness to solve problems rather than wait for instructions.

- The confidence to communicate with colleagues, clients, influencers and our international digital team.

- An ability to take feedback positively and use it to improve your work.

You may be a marketing, communications, media or design graduate. You may already create content for a business, community organisation or personal account. You may have some professional experience, or you may be looking for your first real opportunity in the industry.

There is no single background we’re looking for.

What you’ll get

- Hands on experience across a wide variety of clients and industries.

- The opportunity to develop skills in social strategy, copywriting, design, video, influencer marketing and paid digital campaigns.

- Support and guidance from experienced account management, creative, media and digital specialists.

- A close knit, collaborative team where your ideas will be heard.

- Genuine variety, responsibility and room to grow as your skills develop.

- A down to earth independent agency environment without unnecessary layers or corporate BS.

How to apply

Please submit your resume/CV and a short cover note telling us why this role appeals to you and what you could bring to the East End Marketing team.

We’d also love to see examples of content you’ve created. These do not need to come from a professional agency portfolio. University work, freelance projects, volunteer work, business accounts or content from your own social channels are all welcome.

Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
