Southern Cross Education Institute (SCEI) and SCEI Higher Education (SCEI-HE) are looking for a Social Media Coordinator to manage and grow our digital presence while driving student lead generation across all major platforms.

THE ROLE

This role offers end-to-end ownership of social media for SCEI and SCEI-HE. You will be responsible for content creation, platform management, engagement growth, and converting social traffic into high-quality student leads.

You'll work closely with marketing, admissions, and leadership teams to ensure social media supports institutional growth and recruitment objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and grow all social media channels for SCEI and SCEI-HE (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as required)
- Plan, create, and publish engaging content including Reels, TikToks, short videos, carousels, and posts
- Develop and execute content strategies aligned with student recruitment and brand positioning
- Generate and nurture student leads through organic content and paid campaigns
- Set up, manage,



and optimise Meta and TikTok ad campaigns for lead generation
- Write compelling captions and calls-to-action that drive enquiries and applications
- Monitor analytics, track performance, and provide regular reporting with actionable insights
- Stay up to date with platform trends, algorithm changes, and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams on campaigns, events, and key enrolment periods
- Maintain brand consistency across all social platforms

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 3+ years' experience in a Social Media Coordinator or similar role
- Qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience creating and editing short-form video content
- Proven experience using Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads for lead generation
- Solid understanding of social media analytics and performance optimisation
- Ability to manage multiple platforms, priorities, and deadlines effectively
- Excellent written communication and content storytelling skills
- A portfolio or examples of social media channels or campaigns you've managed

HIGHLY REGARDED (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL)

- Experience in the education or international student sector
- Experience generating student or customer leads via social media
- Knowledge of CRMs or lead funnels
