About the Role In this role, you will support case management processes for young people in custody at Ashley Youth Detention Centre (AYDC), providing practical and administrative assistance in line with legislative requirements. Working within a complex and challenging environment, you will contribute to a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement tailored plans that meet the individual needs of young people.
You will play an important role in supporting coordinated reintegration services, helping young people transition back into the community while contributing to the continuous improvement of case management systems and processes. This role offers valuable opportunities to build your expertise in working with complex cases, collaborate across services, and further develop your professional practice.
Who we are Looking For
- You are a Qualified Social Worker
- You are adaptable, resilient and open‑minded social worker, able to work effectively in a complex, high‑pressure environment within established safeguards.
- You bring experience working with Children and Young people in areas such as youth work, mental health, education, residential care, child safety or youth justice, alongside a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
- You can navigate differing perspectives, manage competing priorities, and find common ground, remaining constructive in ambiguity while continuing to grow your practice and capability with young people with complex needs using trauma‑informed approaches.
- Ability to obtain or have a current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
