Position: Solution Designer

- End-to-End Solution Design capabilities (Westpac experienced)
- Knowledge / experience with Westpac core systems (Vision plus) and enterprise data platforms (ADAPT / DDEP / Data Mesh)
- Mandatory hands on development experience in at least one backend language: Java or .NET.
- Robust hands on experience with RDBMS, including data modelling, stored procedures, complex SQL queries, and performance tuning.
- Ability to work across the full technology stack, including ReactJS, AngularJS, Java, .NET, Node.js, relational databases, and Kafka topics/listeners.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and event driven systems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical designs, decisions, and trade offs to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Keen interest in continuous learning, with the ability to stay current with evolving technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.





Responsibilities

- Own and deliver high level design (HLD) and review the detailed technical design (DTD) at component level, covering APIs, UI components, databases, and messaging integrations.
- Translate business and high level requirements into clear, implementable components.
- Design and integrate solutions across UI, backend services, SQL Server databases, and Kafka based messaging.
- Provide hands on technical leadership, guiding development teams through design and implementation.
- Participate in design and code reviews, ensuring adherence to architectural, coding, and performance standards.
- Work with project managers and stakeholders on technical estimation, planning, and delivery.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, risk, and compliance standards.
