Lead the Future of Geriatric Care at Redland Hospital Join Bayside Health Service as a Staff Specialist in Geriatric Medicine and help transform the delivery of care for older people by leading the expansion of a new inpatient Geriatric Model of Care at Redland Hospital! Temporary full-time opportunity!

About This Role

About your role This is an exciting chance to help shape the future of Geriatric Medicine at Redland Hospital.

In This Role You Will

Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient Geriatric Medicine services.

Lead the development of Redland Hospital's expanding Geriatric Model of Care.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred care.

Provide clinical leadership, governance and evidence-based decision making.

Supervise and mentor Registrars, junior doctors and medical students.

Develop and implement clinical guidelines, policies and quality initiatives.

Participate in service planning, patient flow and continuous improvement.

Support education, research and professional development across the department.

About You

You're a compassionate and experienced Geriatrician who is passionate about improving the health, independence and quality of life of older people. You'll Bring FRACP (or equivalent) with accreditation in Geriatric Medicine.

Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.

Expertise across acute, subacute and rehabilitation geriatrics.

Strong experience in comprehensive geriatric assessment.

Excellent leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Commitment to quality improvement and clinical governance.





Experience teaching and mentoring junior medical staff.

Outstanding communication with patients, carers and colleagues.
