The RoleWe are seeking a capable and detail-oriented FIC Officer to support the integration, coordination and assurance of Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) across a complex Defence program.Working closely with engineering, capability and governance stakeholders, you will help ensure capability outcomes are sustainable, supportable and aligned with Defence requirements. The role combines FIC coordination with technical and engineering support activities, contributing toinformed decision-making across the capability lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning, integration and assurance of Fundamental Inputs to Capability across program activities.Assist with the development and management of technical and engineering-related contracts, ensuring deliverables remain fit for purpose.Review and coordinate technical documentation, data packages and Engineering Management System (EMS) inputs.Provide Change Control Board administration support, including preparation of documentation, action tracking and governance reporting.Contribute to engineering assurance,
risk management and technical governance activities that support safe and sustainable capability outcomes.
About You Experience supporting Defence capability, systems engineering, engineering governance or integrated logistics environments.Understanding of Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) and their application across the capability lifecycle.Ability to review technical documentation, engineering artefacts and configuration management information.Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.
Additional InformationLocation: candidates are expected to attend their local Defence site five days per week initially.Following approximately three months of satisfactory performance, a hybrid arrangement of up to 1–2 days working from home may be considered.Requires a current AGSVA V1.
