The Youi Student Grant

About The Grant
To showcase your skills, you'll be required to write an essay of up to 1,000 words about a specific topic, and we’ll also ask you to include answers to discussion questions within your analysis.
The Youi Student Grant is offered to one person, with a value of AUD $5,000 in total, and is paid as a one-time payment to the winner.

Discussion questions to include in essay
Challenges you’ve overcome Discuss any obstacles you’ve faced in pursuing your education or career goals, such as financial constraints, personal circumstances, balancing study with work, or other barriers. Reflect on how these experiences have shaped your resilience, determination, and future aspirations.Contributions you plan to make Explain how your studies, experiences, or future plans will enable you to contribute positively to your community, chosen field, or broader society. This could include applying your skills,
sharing knowledge, or creating meaningful impact in your area of interest.Academic or professional achievements Highlight key achievements that demonstrate your commitment to your studies or career development. This may include academic results, extracurricular involvement, leadership roles, work experience, or other accomplishments that reflect your dedication and potential.Impact of the grant Describe how the grant will support your educational or skilled journey. This could include helping cover study-related expenses, reducing financial pressure, enabling you to focus on your goals, or providing opportunities that will support your growth and future success.
How To Apply
Essay responses must be a maximum of 1,000 words, in Arial font size 11 with double line spacing and saved as a PDF document with the name of the applicant and the essay title included in the document name.

Applications Must Include
Your response to the Entry Task in the Correct Format. Confirmation that you are an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia The name of your institution of study, name and length of the course you are studying and the year of study you are in.

The Grant recipient will also be required to supply identification confirming name, date of birth and residential address as well as evidence supporting the above items.
