Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based in Southport, QLD, suitable for an Intermediate Accountant, Senior Accountant or Tax Manager, depending on experience. The role may involve preparing and/or reviewing tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and superannuation funds, as well as supporting tax planning and complex tax and business advisory work. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining general ledgers, preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations and ensuring compliance with relevant tax and accounting regulations. The position includes liaising with clients to gather information, explain outcomes and provide practical business and tax advice.
QualificationsStrong tax technical skills, including tax preparation and tax compliance across various entity types.Ability to provide advisory services in tax planning and the practical application of tax law.Solid understanding of Australian tax legislation and regulations across multiple structures.Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets,



including experience preparing financial statements and reconciliations.Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Commerce; CA/CPA completed or in progress highly regarded.Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) designation with The Tax Institute, or progress towards it, preferred but not mandatory.3+ years in public practice or tax accounting, with responsibility aligned to Intermediate, Senior or Manager level.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.Clear written and verbal communication skills, a client-focused approach and professional presentation.
