This is a unique opportunity to join at the beginning of our analytics transformation journey and play a hands-on role in designing, developing and supporting the platforms, pipelines, reports and data products that will shape decision-making across our organisation.

About the Role
This is not just a reporting role.
You will become PeopleKind's internal Microsoft Fabric and Power BI specialist, working alongside business stakeholders, infrastructure and cyber security teams, Microsoft and implementation partners to establish a contemporary, trusted and governed analytics capability.
You'll be involved in everything from:
- Building data pipelines and Lakehouse solutions
- Developing semantic models and Power BI dashboards
- Establishing governance, data quality and security controls
- Supporting self-service analytics and business adoption
- Contributing to solution design and platform maturity
- Creating reusable data products and a single source of truth
As our permanent internal capability,
you'll also play an important role in knowledge transfer from implementation partners and helping PeopleKind build sustainable long-term ownership of its analytics platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and support Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse and Power BI solutions.
- Develop data pipelines and integrate data from multiple business systems.
- Design dashboards, reports and semantic models that deliver actionable insights.
- Maintain data quality, governance, security and platform reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable and trusted analytics solutions.
What You'll Bring
Essential Experience
- Experience developing business intelligence and data solutions using Microsoft technologies
- Strong Power BI skills including DAX, semantic models, report design and performance optimisation
- Advanced SQL and data modelling capability
- Experience integrating data from multiple systems and data sources
- Understanding of dimensional modelling, KPI frameworks and reporting best practices
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data quality and monitoring
- Knowledge of data governance, security and privacy principles
- Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Highly Desirable
- Microsoft Fabric experience
- Data engineering and Lakehouse architecture experience
- Azure Data Platform experience
- Python, PySpark or notebook development skills
- Microsoft certifications such as: PL-300, DP-600 and DP-700
- Experience in community services, disability, housing, health or not-for-profit sectors
