Due to growth in our company, BTR Excavations requires an experienced full time Excavator/Skid Steer operator. Working with detailed location plans, you will ideally have at least 3 years experience in this field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in digging trenches and levelling, digging around live assets, as well as loading and driving trucks. A solid understanding of earthworks and trench excavation is essential, along with a strong commitment to safety and familiarity with various types of plant and equipment.
Position: Monday - Friday with flexibility for Saturday or nightworks (dependent on workload)
Location: Start/Finish in Waterloo Corner SA
Responsibilities:
- Excavating around known and located asset
- Relocation of water meters utilising mini 1.8T Excavator
- Skid Steer operations
- Clearing/levelling blocks
- Trenching, grading & backfilling
- Sewer Mains
- Conduct routine equipment inspections
- Follow project plans and specifications to complete tasks accurately
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines
- Maintaining and cleaning the work site
Requirements:
- Excavator ticket
- Proven experience as a Civil Construction Excavator Operator
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Proven experience digging around live assets
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and safety protocols
- Ability to work overtime, weekends or nights when required
- Able to work as part of a team
- HC License
