We are looking for an Authorised Officer (AO) to join us and play a key role in ensuring Australia’s grain and feed exports meet the highest standards.

Milne Feeds is a leader in the livestock feed industry supplying nutritionally balanced livestock feed solutions.

As an Authorised Officer you will conduct inspections, verifications, and certifications under the Export Control Act 2020 and associated rules. You will ensure consignments comply with Australian regulations, biosecurity requirements and importing Country protocols. This role also involves coordinating logistics and supporting operational activities to maintain export readiness.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect and certify grain, feed and plant-based commodities for export

- Verify containers, silos, and transport vehicles for cleanliness and compliance

- Issue official export documentation (Phytosanitary Certificates, Health Certificates)

- Maintain accurate records in NEXDOC/EXDOC systems

- Coordinate with logistics teams for timely dispatch and loading supervision

- Support site compliance programs, audits,



and DAFF inspections

- Assist with operational tasks such as loading, sample collection and pest control

What We’re Looking For

- Mandatory

- Current AO accreditation under the Export Control Act 2020 for grain and plant products

- Completion of DAFF-approved training modules

- Robust understanding of export inspection and certification requirements

- Desirable

- Experience in AQIS/DAFF-registered export establishments

- Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 9001, and Feed Safe standards

- Familiarity with NEXDOC/EXDOC systems

Skills & Attributes

- High attention to detail and integrity in documentation

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to operate logistics equipment (forklift, conveyors) as trained

- Proactive, hands-on approach with excellent teamwork
