Randstad is currently working with a Queensland Government client to find a Principal Security Consultant (SAP) on an initial contract until 31/12/2026 with potential of extension. This position is based in Brisbane CBD with WFH flexibility.

Max Pay Rate: $1,300.84 a day inclusive of superannuation

Position Overview:The Principal Security Consultant will undertake a lead role and assist in ensuring the S/4HANA Finance, Business and Logistics solution including SAP GRC Access Control is properly designed, configured, developed, documented, implemented, maintained and reviewed from an application security perspective.

Key Duties:

Lead Security Operations: Lead senior security and security consultants in designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and managing application security authorisations to cost-effectively meet business requirements.

Problem Solving & Innovation: Take a lead role in analysing and solving S/4HANA application security problems to provide cutting-edge solutions for business requirements during support delivery and project execution.

System Design & Development: Drive system design, specification, development, unit testing, maintenance, and associated documentation for security authorisations and application processes in strict compliance with relevant industry and security standards.

Governance & Controls: Define and implement application security controls, policies, and procedures in strict compliance with enterprise governance and industry security standards.

Role Management & Conflict Remediation: Provide expert advice and support for security role implementation and maintenance by defining roles against functional requirements and remediating potential Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts.

Risk & Advisory: Offer expert guidance to management on security issues, initiatives, and emerging risks, including proactive risk and issue management.





Audit & Investigations: Assist with audit compliance, security reviews, and incident investigations relating to S/4HANA system security.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Liaise, consult, and negotiate effectively with team members, project teams, and business stakeholders to maintain high-integrity, integrated solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess:

- Demonstrated extensive experience in developing, implementing and maintaining S/4HANA application security authorisations and the design, build and management of S/4HANA security solutions in relation to the solution responsibility of this team, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a complex IT environment.
- Demonstrated experience with SAP BTP, including knowledge of CIS, IAS and IPS with the ability to implement BTP security.
- Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and innovative problem-solving skills with a strong focus on meeting outcomes and delivering a quality client service.
- Proven ability to effectively apply specialist technical knowledge and provide expert advice on S/4HANA security in responding to maintenance and support requests according to agreed procedures.
- Proven ability to assist management in supervising and assisting other team members to deliver effective service to clients and key stakeholders through the implementation of team goals, strategies and work plans.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to recommend and implement security solutions whilst complying with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Extensive written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build effective client and stakeholder relationships by negotiating client needs and ensuring proposed solutions are properly understood and resolved.
