This is a 12-month fixed-term contract that will play a critical part in strengthening and maturing enterprise risk capability across a complex organisation. You will contribute to the ongoing development of the enterprise risk framework, support strategic and operational risk management activities, deliver assurance reviews, and help embed a strong risk culture across the business.
The role offers a mix of strategic and hands-on responsibilities, providing the chance to partner with stakeholders across multiple functions while driving continuous improvement in risk management practices, controls and governance processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining and enhancing enterprise, functional and project risk registers
- Supporting the ongoing development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
- Facilitating risk workshops, assessments and control discussions with stakeholders
- Conducting assurance activities and testing the effectiveness of key controls
- Monitoring and reporting on Key Risk Indicators, emerging risks and mitigation activities
- Supporting board and committee reporting through the preparation of high-quality risk insights and analysis
- Delivering risk training and awareness initiatives to strengthen organisational risk capability
- Partnering with business leaders to identify, assess and manage risk effectively
- Supporting audit, compliance and governance activities where required
- Maintaining risk management systems and ensuring the integrity of risk-related data and reporting

You are comfortable navigating complex environments, challenging thinking when required,
and providing practical recommendations that improve decision-making and risk management outcomes.
- Experience in enterprise risk management, assurance, internal audit or controls testing
- Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, risk taxonomy, risk appetite, inherent risk and control effectiveness
- Experience maintaining risk registers and facilitating risk assessments
- The ability to identify emerging risks and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience preparing reports, presentations and risk updates for leadership teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
