The business is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join its team and contribute to the delivery of residential and commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Carpenter with sound technical knowledge and practical experience to undertake a range of carpentry and construction duties while maintaining the company’s high standards of workmanship, safety and project delivery.
Key Responsibility:
• Interpret and work from architectural drawings, plans, specifications and measurements to determine required materials, dimensions and construction procedures for residential and commercial projects.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape and prepare timber, plywood, wallboard and other construction materials using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Construct,



erect and install timber wall frames, floor structures, roof framing, ceilings, partitions and other structural components in accordance with project specifications.
• Set out and assemble timber components, ensuring accurate alignment, levels, dimensions and structural integrity throughout the construction process.
• Install floorboards, sub-flooring, wall cladding, fascia, panelling, doors, window frames and other timber fixtures and fittings.
• Construct and install internal and external carpentry components, including stairs, frames, partitions, cabinetry and other fixtures as required for residential and commercial construction projects.
• Cut and join timber components using appropriate joints, fasteners, nails, screws, brackets and other fixing methods to achieve strong and accurate assemblies.
• Prepare and install formwork and temporary timber structures where required for construction and concrete works.
• Inspect completed carpentry work to ensure accuracy, quality, durability and compliance with drawings, specifications and applicable building requirements.
• Repair, renovate and replace damaged or deteriorated timber structures, fixtures and fittings as part of residential and commercial renovation projects.
• Select, prepare and organise timber, hardware and other construction materials required for allocated projects, minimising material wastage and maintaining efficient workflow.
• Coordinate with builders, supervisors,



tradespeople and other construction personnel to ensure carpentry activities are completed efficiently and in accordance with project schedules.
• Maintain and safely operate carpentry hand tools, power tools and equipment, ensuring appropriate procedures are followed on construction sites.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area and comply with workplace health and safety requirements, site procedures and relevant construction standards.
• Complete carpentry work to the company’s expected standards of quality craftsmanship, contributing to the successful delivery of residential and commercial construction projects.

To be successful in this role, it is essential you have:

• Minimum one year of verifiable relevant work experience supported by a relevant trade qualification.
• Demonstrated capacity to accurately read and interpret building plans, drawings and construction specifications.
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber and other construction materials.
• Competent in constructing and installing frames, flooring, walls, doors, windows, roofs and other timber structures.
• Proficient in safely operating a range of carpentry hand tools, power tools and construction equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify construction issues, carry out repairs and deliver quality carpentry work.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with builders, supervisors and other trades while meeting project timelines and safety requirements.
