We’re looking for a full-time Structural Engineer to join our Melbourne-based team (CBD Office).
This is a hands-on engineering role with real responsibility. Be part of a small, high-performing team, where your work is visible and your input matters.
Reporting to an experienced engineering lead, you’ll play a key role in the design of supporting structures for non-structural services, including seismic restraints, prefabricated frames, and systems designed to withstand fatigue and blast loading. It’s a role where structural smarts meet mechanical know-how, and where your work will have real-world impact. You’ll:
Design and deliver complex structural solutions across a range of projects
Prepare proposals and help define scope and fees
Prepare and review calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
Work with tools like SpaceGass, Ideastatica, FEA software, and Revit
Review shop drawings, connections, and temporary works
Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, to solve problems and provide practical, compliant solutions
Attend site as needed (not excessively)
Support project delivery including scope, timelines, and budgets
Contribute to improving how we design and deliver work
Support junior team members as needed

Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering
At least 2 years experience in structural design within Australia,
including steel design
Strong understanding of Australian standards, codes and safety regulations (including AS 4100)
Experience with structural analysis and modelling tools, including FEA A knack for creating clever, value-driven designs, balancing performance, cost, and buildability
Practical experience with structural inspections and certifications
Confidence reviewing drawings, solving site issues, reporting and certification
Clear communication skills (both written and verbal) and confident in speaking with clients
Organised and dependable, you know how to manage time across multiple projects
Ability to think in practical, buildable solutions
Ownership of your work Bonus points for:
Confident using Bluebeam Revu to mark up drawings and collaborate efficiently
Experience with Autodesk Revit or other 3D design tools
Basic Python scripting for automation or analysis What We Offer:
