Role Overview We are seeking a Subcontracts Manager to join our project team on a full-time basis, supporting the delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects across Australia and Recent Zealand. Based in Brisbane, this opportunity is suited to an experienced contracts professional with a strong background in subcontract management, commercial administration, and EPC project delivery. This is a key commercial role responsible for managing the full lifecycle of subcontract and supplier agreements, including tendering, negotiation, administration, cost control, claims management, and close-out activities.

Working closely with the Procurement Manager AU/NZ, Project Managers, Project Directors, Engineering, Construction, Commercial, HSE teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders, you will play an important role in ensuring contractual compliance, managing commercial risk, and supporting successful project delivery. As a key member of the project delivery team, you will help establish robust subcontracting processes and commercial controls that support the successful, on-time, and on-budget delivery of utility-scale solar and BESS projects.

Key Responsibilities Manage subcontract and supplier agreements from tender stage through to execution, administration, and close-out.

Support subcontract procurement activities including tender evaluations, supplier assessments, and commercial recommendations.





Lead subcontract negotiations and ensure agreements align with EPC contract requirements, project scope, schedule, and budget.

Manage subcontract costs, progress claims, variations, extensions of time, change orders, and commercial reporting.

Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to resolve contractual, performance, quality, and compliance matters.

Maintain accurate contract documentation, registers, reporting, and close-out records to support project delivery.

About You

Minimum 5 years' experience in subcontract management or contract administration within construction, infrastructure, EPC, or renewable energy sectors.

Proven experience negotiating and managing large-scale contracts with strong knowledge of contract law and commercial risk management.

Experience managing subcontract tendering, evaluations, prequalification, variations, claims, EOTs, progress claims, retention, and final accounts.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts, competing priorities, and stakeholder requirements.
