About the Role Reporting to our Head of Sustainability, this newly created role offers the opportunity to shape how procurement, supplier governance and sustainability come together across the firm. You will drive initiatives that strengthen supplier relationships, embed best-practice procurement frameworks and support the delivery of the firm's sustainability strategy. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building relationships, leading and embedding change, building practical frameworks and delivering outcomes that create lasting value for both the firm and the wider community.
This is envisaged as a part-time role (3 or 4 days) however for the right candidate we would also consider full-time.
Responsibilities include: Leading the implementation and continuous improvement of the firm's sustainable procurement framework, aligned with ISO 20400 principles.
Embedding sustainability requirements across supplier onboarding, sourcing, contract management and supplier performance processes.
Establishing risk-based supplier due diligence, assessment and governance frameworks.
Providing strategic procurement and sustainability advice to leaders and stakeholders across the firm.
Developing tools, resources and training to build procurement capability and improve sustainability outcomes.
Driving supplier engagement programs focused on transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
Partnering with suppliers to improve sustainability performance,
emissions reporting and decarbonisation outcomes.
Supporting the firm's modern slavery, human rights and social procurement objectives.
Leveraging supplier, spend and emissions data to identify risks, opportunities and priority actions.
Delivering reporting and insights to support executive, board, client and regulatory requirements.
Leading cross-functional sustainability and procurement projects across the business.
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring strong procurement and/or supply chain expertise, experience change and the ability to influence stakeholders across a partnership environment.
You will ideally have: Minimum of 5-7 years demonstrated experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, with a strong focus implementing procurement frameworks and influencing and embedding change
Experience embedding ISO 20400 standards and aligned sustainability initiatives (highly desirable).
Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, human rights and governance considerations relevant to procurement and supply chains.
Sound knowledge of decarbonisation and/or modern slavery
Demonstrated experience leading internal projects and initiatives involving multiple workstreams, senior stakeholders and competing priorities.
Demonstrated experience undertaking sustainability risk and opportunity assessments for suppliers, categories, products, or services.
Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation.
A practical, collaborative and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
