Role Description The System Engineer will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of transport-related information systems for the Ministère des Transports terrestres et aériens du Sénégal. In this part-time, hybrid role based in Sydney, NSW, the System Engineer will work both on-site and remotely to configure systems, monitor performance, and ensure reliability and security of critical infrastructure.

Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, documenting system configurations and changes, and contributing to continuous improvement of system architecture. The role also involves participating in small projects, assisting with upgrades and integrations, and ensuring compliance with relevant technical and security standards.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills to plan, specify, and implement robust and scalable solutions.
- Candidates should possess System Administration skills to manage servers,



operating systems, and core applications in hybrid environments.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose issues, resolve incidents, and provide explicit guidance to users and teams.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on system reliability and security.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external partners.
- Candidates should possess experience with monitoring tools, documentation practices, and basic networking concepts; familiarity with transport or public infrastructure systems is an advantage.
- Candidates should possess relevant technical education or certifications in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
