About the Role A highly respected multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with an exceptional reputation across Recent Zealand is expanding into Australia and is seeking an experienced Technical Director – Building Services to lead its Australian Building Services division.

With an established client base and a strong pipeline of high-profile projects already secured, you'll be joining a business with genuine momentum in the Australian market. Working alongside some of Australia's leading developers, architects and construction companies, you'll help deliver complex commercial, residential and mixed-use developments across Melbourne and beyond. The position is fully remote, with Melbourne-based candidates required to support local client relationships and future team growth.

Duties

- Lead the Australian Building Services Engineering division.
- Provide technical leadership across major building services projects.
- Mentor and develop engineers.
- Build and strengthen relationships with clients,



architects and project stakeholders.
- Drive business development and identify new opportunities.
- Oversee project delivery and maintain technical excellence.
- Collaborate with the executive leadership team on strategic growth initiatives.
- Remain hands-on technically if desired.

About You

- CPEng accredited (essential).
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
- 7–10+ years' experience delivering building services projects in the Melbourne market.
- Strong experience across commercial, residential, healthcare, education or mixed-use developments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams or mentoring engineers.
- Strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills.
- Business development experience is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for building and growing a high-performing team.
