Bastion Defence is now seeking expressions of interest from experienced Technical Writers to support Australia’s sovereign naval shipbuilding industry on a major Australian maritime Defence program.
Candidates must be experienced in: The design, sustainment, and verification of maritime systems and compliant technical repair documentation.
Developing, reviewing, and validating technical documentation, including maintenance instructions, design reports and system data.
Creating structured Work Instructions (WIs) and data packs for planned, corrective, and urgent defect maintenance.
Developing and maintaining Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs), operator manuals, and maintenance guides for assets.
Converting complex engineering change orders and verbal direction into precise,
field-ready technical documentation. Core Skills and Qualifications
Excellent written communication and documentation skills
Strong technical and engineering literacy
Strong attention to detail A relevant qualification in Technical Communication, English, Communications, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience, is highly desirable. Benefits
