This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced Associate ready to step into a Senior Associate position, or an established Senior Associate looking for greater responsibility, leadership opportunities and exposure to a busy, high-quality commercial disputes practice.

The roles

Working closely with an experienced Commercial Litigation Partner, you'll lead and advise on a broad range of matters including:

- Commercial and contractual disputes
- Shareholder and partnership disputes
- Corporations Act matters
- Business and director disputes
- Debt recovery and insolvency-related matters
- Property and leasing disputes
- Competition and consumer matters
- Urgent interlocutory applications
- Alternative dispute resolution and mediation
- Supreme Court and Federal Court proceedings

In addition to managing your own matters, you'll play an important role supervising junior lawyers, delegating work effectively and helping develop the capability of the broader litigation team.

About you

You'll ideally have:

- 3+ years' post-admission experience in Commercial Litigation




- Strong experience managing commercial litigation matters with increasing autonomy
- Excellent drafting, advocacy and strategic thinking skills
- The ability to supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers
- Strong organisational and matter management capability
- Commercial judgement and excellent client relationship skills
- A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to take ownership of matters

Candidates from boutique, mid-tier or national firms are encouraged to apply. Strong academics are valued, although the firm takes a pragmatic approach and welcomes candidates from a broad range of academic backgrounds.
