Compliance & Risk Senior Officer (Part-Time)

Our client, a respected not-for-profit organisation operating within the aged care sector, is seeking a proactive Compliance & Risk Senior Officer to support the ongoing development of its compliance, governance and risk management frameworks.

About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Operational Services, you'll play a key role in supporting the organisation's compliance, risk and assurance activities across multiple operational areas. Working collaboratively with leaders and key stakeholders, you'll help ensure regulatory obligations are met while strengthening organisational systems and promoting best practice.
This part-time position offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to strategic organisational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain organisational compliance and risk management systems.
- Monitor compliance obligations, registers, action plans and evidence records.
- Maintain and review organisational risk registers and support risk assessments.
- Identify compliance gaps, emerging risks and trends, escalating significant issues where appropriate.
- Coordinate internal audits, accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance activities.
- Monitor incidents, hazards, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support emergency management and business continuity planning.
- Assist with psychosocial risk documentation and organisational reporting.
- Prepare reports, dashboards and committee papers for senior leadership.
- Provide practical guidance to managers to strengthen compliance and risk capability across the organisation.
- Promote a proactive culture of governance, accountability and continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience in compliance, risk management, governance, quality or organisational assurance.
- Experience working within a regulated industry such as aged care, healthcare, disability, community services or government.
- Sound knowledge of compliance frameworks, risk management principles and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience preparing reports and committee documentation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- The confidence to work collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
- A proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach.
