We are seeking an experienced Fleet Controller with a strong background in container transport and wharf operations to join our Operations team in Welshpool.
About the Role
This is a fast-paced operational role where you'll coordinate daily container movements to and from Fremantle Port, ensuring efficient fleet utilisation and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily container deliveries and collections.
- Allocate and manage driver schedules for maximum fleet efficiency.
- Plan around vessel arrivals, wharf operations and container availability.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, wharf operators and shipping lines.
- Monitor fleet movements and resolve operational issues quickly.
- Ensure service deadlines are met while maintaining safety and compliance.
About You
To be successful,
you will have:
- Proven Fleet Controller experience within container transport.
- Strong knowledge of Fremantle Port, wharf operations and container logistics.
- Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to remain calm and make decisions in a busy, time-critical environment.
- Strong computer skills and experience with transport management systems.
