Help at Hand Support Services is looking for experienced Disability Support Workers who would like to join us and help make a difference in the lives of people with a disability.

In this role you will provide a person‑centred approach, with a daily routine tailored to each client. Tasks might include taking a client to a beach outing, a movie or a game, assisting with a medical appointment, or simply staying with them at home with a cup of tea. This varied work is exciting and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily activities and outings
- Provide support for medical and other appointments
- Offer companionship and encouragement in the home setting
- Remain calm and composed during crisis situations
- Maintain accurate records of each shift

Requirements

- Own a fully insured and reliable vehicle
- Current police check (within 6 months)
- Cert III in Disability or equivalent experience




- Working with Children Check
- First Aid/CPR certificates (current)
- Full and clean Australian driver’s licence
- Punctual, reliable and adaptable
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Empathetic and proactive with a genuine interest in the field
- Ability to self‑supervise and remain calm during crisis situations
