We are seeking an experienced Teradata Data Warehouse Engineer with robust expertise in large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) and a deep understanding of data lineage across complex integration landscapes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Teradata, modern data engineering practices, and AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code to accelerate delivery, documentation, and code quality.
This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-grade data solutions while ensuring end-to-end traceability of data flows across multiple source systems, integration layers, and reporting platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize data solutions within a large-scale Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse environment.
Perform complex data analysis, data modelling, data profiling, and data mapping activities.
Understand and document end-to-end data lineage across multiple upstream and downstream systems.
Work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and engineering teams to define data requirements and integration strategies.
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes supporting high-volume and complex data ecosystems.
Investigate data quality issues and perform root cause analysis across multiple integration touchpoints.
Leverage Claude Code and AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and technical documentation.
Optimize Teradata SQL queries and database performance for large datasets.
Contribute to data governance initiatives, metadata management, and lineage documentation.
Support production releases, incident resolution, and ongoing platform enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Enterprise Data Warehousing.
Strong hands-on expertise in Teradata Database, SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Proven experience working with large Group Data Warehouse (GDW) / Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments.
Strong understanding of data lineage, metadata management, and data traceability across multiple systems.
Experience analysing data flows spanning:
Source Applications
Integration Platforms
Data Warehouses
Data Marts
Reporting and Analytics Layers
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks and integration patterns.
Experience working with complex data integration points and dependency mapping.
Ability to perform impact analysis for data changes across interconnected systems.
Hands-on experience using Claude Code or other AI-assisted development tools.
Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills.
