Croft Transport is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Transport Operations Manager / Sales professional to join our close-knit team in Wingfield. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who understands transport operations, enjoys working with drivers and customers, and can identify opportunities to secure new work and grow existing accounts.

You may come from transport, logistics, construction, precast concrete, manufacturing, industrial services or a similar operational environment. What matters most is your ability to manage daily transport requirements, communicate effectively and take ownership of results.

About the Role

This position combines daily transport operations, customer service, staff management and sales.

Your responsibilities will include

- Coordinating and allocating daily transport work
- Managing scheduling, driver movements and customer requirements
- Supporting, supervising and communicating with drivers




- Monitoring daily operations to ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
- Identifying new sales opportunities and securing additional transport work
- Following up leads, preparing quotations and presenting transport solutions
- Working closely with customers to resolve operational issues
- Improving operational efficiency, fleet utilisation and service delivery
- Assisting with recruitment, training and performance management of drivers
- Ensuring safety, compliance and Chain of Responsibility requirements are followed
- Working closely with senior management on business growth and operational strategy
- Assisting with practical operational tasks when required

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet operations, precast concrete, construction materials, manufacturing or a similar industry
- Experience coordinating trucks, drivers and daily transport operations
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Experience in sales, business development or account management
- The ability to identify and secure new business opportunities
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of transport costs and profitability
- A practical and hands-on approach to management




- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of responsibilities
- A strong understanding of safety, compliance and Chain of Responsibility obligations
- The ability to remain calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- A current Australian driver’s licence

Existing transport industry contacts or experience within the construction, precast or general freight industries will be highly regarded.
