Utility-Scale Solar & BESS

Our client is a major player in the utility-scale renewables space, delivering large-scale solar and battery storage projects across Australia. They're looking for a Senior Project Manager to take end-to-end ownership of utility-scale delivery, from early-stage planning through to energisation.

The Role

You'll run utility-scale solar and/or BESS projects from the ground up, owning the full delivery lifecycle and acting as the central point of accountability across engineering, construction, procurement, and commissioning. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who has genuinely delivered utility-scale projects before, not just managed a slice of one.

What you'll be doing

- Owning end-to-end delivery of utility-scale solar and/or BESS projects, from FID through to energisation and handover
- Managing project schedule, budget, risk, and quality across the full project lifecycle
- Coordinating engineering, construction, EPC, and commissioning teams
- Managing relationships with landowners, network providers, contractors, and regulatory bodies
- Leading project reporting and governance,



including client and executive-level updates
- Identifying and resolving delivery risks before they become delivery problems

What You'll Bring

- Proven experience delivering utility-scale solar and/or BESS projects end-to-end, not partial-lifecycle involvement
- Preferred background at an OEM, with strong technical grounding in solar or battery systems
- Deep understanding of grid connection, commissioning, and utility-scale construction processes
- Robust stakeholder management skills across contractors, landowners, and network operators
- Formal project management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) highly regarded
