About the Opportunities

This advertisement is for two ongoing vacancies at the Executive Level 2 classification. A description and duties for each Director position is provided below, followed by the capabilities applicable to both positions. Director, People Capability

The Director, People Capability reports to National Manager People and leads a multifunctional team that provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Workforce Planning and Learning and Development function.

Working closely with the executive and management teams this role provides expert advice in developing and implementing workforce strategies that support the NDIS Commissions organisational goals. It also oversees workforce analytics, reporting and Power BI dashboard development, delivering data-driven insights to inform workforce planning and strategic decision-making.

The role partners with executive leaders to provide proactive, high-level people advice, ensuring workforce initiatives align with organisational priorities and business needs.

Director Human Resources (HR) Advisory

Reporting to the National Manager, People, the Director, HR Advisory provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Human Resources Advisory function.

The role leads a team responsible for delivering high-quality, timely HR advice across a broad range of people matters, while overseeing HR policy development,



management of relationships with HR shared service providers, and the delivery of organisational culture initiatives. The Director ensures HR services align with business objectives, strengthen workforce capability, and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

The role partners with executive leaders to provide proactive, high-level people advice, ensuring workforce initiatives align with organisational priorities and business needs.

The key duties of the position include:

Duties for the roles may include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Lead a team of HR professionals to deliver high-quality operational and strategic human resource services, partnering with business areas to support organisational priorities and workforce outcomes.
- Provide expert advice and leadership on complex and sensitive HR matters, supporting senior leaders to make informed people management decisions.
- Oversee the delivery of HR services through the Commission's shared services arrangements, ensuring service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and deliver strategic people projects and initiatives that enhance HR capability, workforce performance, and organisational effectiveness.
