Role Description The Boilermaker role is a contract, on-site position based in Leopold, VIC. The Boilermaker will fabricate, assemble, and repair steel structures and components, working with heavy plate, structural steel, and related materials. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting engineering drawings, cutting, welding, and forming metal, performing quality checks, and ensuring work meets safety and compliance standards.



The role involves working closely with supervisors and other trades to complete workshop and site-based projects, including maintenance, installation, and construction activities. The Boilermaker is expected to maintain a clean work area, use equipment and tools safely, and contribute to efficient project delivery.
Qualifications
Robust metal fabrication skills, including experience with structural steel and plate work.Proficiency in welding processes such as Welding, TIG Welding, and Oxy-acetylene.Ability to interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings and Blueprint Reading.Relevant trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent.Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, safe tool and equipment use, and compliance with site procedures.Experience in workshop and on-site fabrication or construction environments, preferably in industrial or heavy industry settings.Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with supervisors, clients, and other trades.Current driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required; additional high-risk work licenses (e.g., EWP, forklift, rigging) are an advantage.
