About Us
We are a modern bookkeeping and CFO advisory firm committed to delivering exceptional financial management, compliance and strategic support to growing Australian businesses. Our focus is on combining outstanding client service with streamlined systems, technology and continuous improvement.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced BAS Manager who wants to be part of building a high-performing business—not just managing compliance.
About the Role
This is more than a traditional bookkeeping role.
As our BAS Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of bookkeeping and BAS clients while playing a key role in the ongoing development of our business. In addition to managing client compliance, you will support our internal business systems and operations, helping ensure the firm meets its compliance obligations, maintains consistent processes, and delivers a high standard of service across the team.
Working closely with the Director, you will help improve workflows, strengthen operational processes, mentor team members and contribute to building a scalable, technology-driven bookkeeping and CFO practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own portfolio of bookkeeping and BAS clients from onboarding through ongoing service.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and act as their primary point of contact.
- Prepare and review BAS, IAS, payroll tax and other compliance obligations.
- Review bookkeeping completed by junior and offshore team members to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality.
- Complete month-end reconciliations and supporting workpapers.
- Assist clients with payroll, STP, superannuation and GST queries.
- Liaise with the ATO regarding client matters where required.
- Support the firm’s internal business systems, operational workflows and compliance requirements.
- Assist in maintaining documented procedures, quality assurance processes and internal controls.
- Provide technical guidance and day-to-day support to team members, helping resolve bookkeeping and compliance queries.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation, AI and standardised processes.
- Work closely with the Director to continually improve systems, client service and operational efficiency.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (essential).
- Current Registered BAS Agent (essential).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping and BAS services.
- Strong knowledge of GST, BAS, IAS, payroll, STP, superannuation and payroll tax.
- Advanced Xero experience.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
- A collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring others, improving systems and contributing to the growth of the business.
What We Offer
- Permanent part-time position with genuine opportunity to grow into a larger role.
- Flexible hybrid and remote working arrangements.
- Opportunity to influence business systems, operational excellence and service delivery.
- Exposure to AI, automation and innovative business technologies.
- A supportive, collaborative team setting where your ideas are valued.
- The opportunity to make a genuine impact in a growing, forward-thinking bookkeeping and CFO advisory firm.
If you’re an experienced Registered BAS Agent looking for a role where you can combine technical excellence with leadership, operational improvement and client relationships, we’d love to hear from you.
