About the role:

Location: Based in Brisbane

Salary Range: $94K to $123K plus super

Status: Permanent full-time

As an Embryologist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping each patient’s fertility journey, delivering exceptional Embryology and Andrology services that directly influence clinical outcomes and patient experience. The role requires an Embryologist who is confident working within a high-throughput clinical laboratory and who brings broad technical experience across routine and specialised assisted reproductive technologies.

Working closely with both the Laboratory Supervisor and Team Leader, you will contribute to a culture of excellence while supporting best-practice clinical standards.

Under guidance from the Laboratory Supervisor and Team Leader, your responsibilities include:

- Delivering consistently high standards of patient care and service
- Performing the full range of clinical embryology and andrology procedures, including oocyte retrieval support, conventional IVF, ICSI, embryo assessment and culture, cryopreservation, embryo transfer and semen preparation
- Managing competing clinical priorities safely and efficiently within a high-throughput laboratory environment

- Contributing to the review, development and continuous improvement of laboratory procedures and standard operating procedures
- Supporting laboratory training,



workflow improvement and the implementation of recent technologies and information systems
- Sharing knowledge of specialised ART procedures, including in vitro maturation and advanced reproductive tissue cryopreservation holding rigorous quality, compliance, and performance standards
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support the Monash IVF Group mission

Are you the ideal candidate?
You are a highly skilled and detail-oriented Embryologist who takes pride in delivering excellence. You understand the significance of your role in supporting patients through deeply personal journeys and bring both technical expertise and genuine care to your work.

Ideally, you will bring:

- A degree in Biological Science, Health Science, is required. Candidates who hold a Master's degree will be viewed favourably.

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in IVF embryology
- Strong knowledge of ART legislation, RTAC Code of Practice, and clinical protocols
- Demonstrated expertise across clinical embryology and andrology services, including oocyte handling, conventional IVF, ICSI, embryo assessment and culture, embryo cryopreservation, embryo transfer, semen analysis and sperm preparation
- Experience in specialised assisted reproductive technologies, including in vitro maturation, reproductive tissue cryopreservation or embryo biopsy, viewed favourably
- Experience working effectively within a complex, high-volume laboratory while maintaining accuracy, traceability and patient safety
- Experience writing, reviewing and improving laboratory standard operating procedures
- Experience contributing to laboratory quality improvement, workflow redesign, validation activities or the implementation of laboratory information systems
- Experience supervising, training or supporting laboratory staff
- Strong knowledge of ART regulation and clinical laboratory protocols,



with the ability to rapidly develop working knowledge of the RTAC Code of Practice and relevant Australian requirements
- Exceptional pipetting and fine motor skills
- A strong focus on patient outcomes, with a meticulous attention to detail
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced organisational and time management capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities
